Adult Counseling

Sometimes you just need someone to talk to. Someone who actually listens.

Life has a way of getting complicated. Relationships get strained. Old patterns keep showing up. Questions about purpose and meaning start feeling harder to ignore. Sometimes what you need isn't a diagnosis or a treatment plan. You just need a steady, thoughtful person to help you see your situation more clearly.

That's what Brad does.

What Brad Helps With

Brad works with adults who are dealing with real, hard things. Not abstract self-improvement, but the actual stuff that keeps people up at night.

In sessions, Brad helps clients work through:

  • Relationship and marital challenges
  • Anxiety, stress, and emotional strain
  • Spiritual struggles or questions of faith and purpose
  • Habits and patterns that keep getting in the way
  • Major life transitions like career changes, loss, or periods of uncertainty

How Brad Works

Most of us can't clearly see our own patterns. The ways we make decisions, the habits we fall into, the things we do without quite knowing why. Brad's job is to be a kind of empathetic mirror. To help you see what others see, understand where those patterns came from, and then decide, intentionally, whether to keep them or change them.

His approach is grounded in genuine listening, curiosity, and respect. He doesn't tell you what to do. He helps you see what's already there.

Over time, Brad helps clients:

  • Identify recurring patterns in their relationships and decisions
  • Clarify their values, purpose, and direction
  • Strengthen relationships through better communication and empathy
  • Navigate stress and conflict with more calm and confidence
  • Reconnect with faith, meaning, or a sense of spiritual grounding

Short-term problems are usually rooted in long-term dynamics. Brad works on both. The goal is real interior development. The problem-solving happens along the way.

A Little About Brad

Brad has spent his career helping people understand themselves and their relationships more clearly. He has taught at the University of Missouri, Truman State University, and Liberty High School in Wentzville, where he also coaches football. He has a background in Men's Ministry and has worked with individuals, couples, and families across many stages of life.

A lot of his clients are men. Men who have spent years being fine, until they weren't. Men who have a hard time opening up, even to the people closest to them. Brad has been around men all his life, and he has learned how to create a space where opening up feels less threatening and more possible.

Clients often say that working with Brad feels less like traditional counseling and more like talking to someone who asks exactly the right questions and actually remembers what you said last time.

How Sessions Work

Sessions are 60 minutes, one-on-one, and available in person or online. Every session is shaped around what the individual needs at that point in time. Some sessions focus on a specific problem or decision. Others are more open, offering space to reflect and think out loud without pressure.

When useful, Brad may suggest resources between sessions: a workbook, a journal prompt, or a practical action plan, whatever fits what you're working through.

  • Format: One-on-one
  • Length: 60 minutes
  • Location: In person or online
